Research note: Greece DEEP_BUILT 2026-07-03. Morris 2016 PMC4772313: 4.7%; Orthodox Christian majority (~90%) does not circumcise. DISTINCTIVE (two minorities): (1) Western Thrace Muslim minority (~129,120, 1923 census), Lausanne Treaty-protected, excluded from Greece-Turkey population exchange; multi-ethnic (Turkish/Pomak/Roma/Ottoman-convert descent); Greece calls it religious-only, Turkey calls it ethnically Turkish — presented as a live neutral bilateral dispute. Pomak sünnet: age 7-10, mass ceremony, sünnetçi — Ottoman-Balkan pattern matching Bosnia/Albania.
