Cookie Policy

AntiCirc keeps cookies to the minimum needed to run the site securely. No advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking, no selling your data.

Last updated: July 2026

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a site stores in your browser. "Similar storage" means comparable technologies such as localStorage and sessionStorage. We use both sparingly, and only for the reasons set out below.

Our approach

AntiCirc does not run third-party advertising, and we don't use cookies to build profiles or track you across other websites. The storage we set falls into two buckets: what's strictly necessary to run the site, and a small amount of preferences that make your visit nicer.

Strictly necessary

These keep the site working and secure. Because they're essential to a service you've asked for, they don't require consent under UK law.

  • Authentication: when you sign in, we store session and refresh tokens so you stay logged in and can move between pages securely.
  • Security: signals used to prevent abuse, verify requests, and protect against fraudulent activity.

Preferences

These remember choices you make so you don't have to set them again. They're optional and the site works without them.

  • Language & region: your chosen language (for example Tagalog or Cebuano) and any region preference.
  • Interface: small display choices such as dismissed notices, so we don't keep showing you the same prompt.
  • Age acknowledgement: for sensitive, adults-only areas, a record that you've confirmed you're old enough to view them.

What we don't use

  • No advertising or marketing cookies.
  • No cross-site or third-party tracking cookies.
  • No selling or sharing of your data with data brokers.

Managing cookies

You can control or delete cookies and local storage through your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary items may mean you can't stay signed in or use some features, but you're free to do so. Most browsers let you clear stored site data at any time.

We'll update this policy as the project evolves; the "last updated" date above reflects the latest version. For more on how we handle your data, see our Privacy Policy. Questions? Reach us via the contact page.
