Every body deserves a choice.
AntiCirc is an evidence-led advocacy and community platform on genital autonomy, bodily integrity, and informed consent — and the case against routine, non-therapeutic infant circumcision.
Why we built this
Roughly a third of the world's men are circumcised, the large majority of them before they were old enough to be asked. For most, it was a decision made about them, not by them — driven by custom, religion, perceived hygiene, or a medical rationale that the evidence supports far less strongly than people assume.
The conversation about that decision is scattered and lopsided. Serious harms surface as isolated local news; the long-term questions — sensation, function, psychology, regret — live in personal essays and forum threads; and the people most affected often find only fragmented communities, dead forums, or places where the topic gets shut down. Meanwhile the strongest claims on every side circulate without the sourcing to check them.
AntiCirc exists to put it in one honest place. A platform that treats this as what it is — a question of consent and bodily integrity — and backs every claim with a source, hedges what the evidence can't prove, and refuses to dress up advocacy as settled fact. We built the country data, the documented-harm registry, the restoration tools, and the community because no single resource was doing all of it, openly and without an agenda buried in the framing.
We are not anti-religion, and we are not here to shame anyone for a body they didn't choose. We are for one thing: that the choice to permanently alter a healthy body should belong to the person who has to live in it.
What we stand for
Bodily autonomy
A person's body is their own. A permanent, non-therapeutic alteration of a child's genitals is a decision that belongs to that child — when they are old enough to make it.
Informed consent
Consent that the subject cannot give is not consent. We document what the evidence actually says — benefits, risks, and the gaps — so the people who do decide can decide honestly.
Evidence over assertion
Every claim is sourced and hedged. We present studies as association, not proof; we flag what is contested; and we never present compiled or AI-assisted research as if it were independently verified.
Support, not shame
Most circumcised people had no say in it. This is not about blame. It's about ending non-consensual cutting for the next generation — and supporting anyone living with its effects today.
How we handle the evidence
- Claims are sourced and presented as association, not causation. Where studies conflict, we say so.
- Compiled or AI-assisted research is labelled as such — never presented as independently verified.
- Documented individual cases are never passed off as measured complication rates.
- Personal photos and private progress data are kept private by default and never watermarked or shared.
