Legal status
UnregulatedNo Fijian statute specifically governs non-therapeutic male circumcision. The iTaukei traditional teve ceremony is a longstanding indigenous social custom, not a state-regulated medical procedure. Fiji's constitutional and political history (including the 1987, 2000, and 2006 coups) has not produced any circumcision-specific legislation identified in this research.
