A few simple principles keep AntiCirc respectful and safe — and reputation rewards the members who lift it up.
Our shared agreement
AntiCirc is a space for honest, evidence-minded conversation about circumcision, foreskin restoration, bodily autonomy, and related topics. By participating you agree to follow these guidelines. Breaking them may lead to content removal or access restrictions. Live by them, and the community recognizes you for it — see reputation & ranks.
1 Be respectful and civil
Treat every member with respect and empathy.
- Assume good faith. People come here from very different experiences and beliefs.
- Disagree with ideas, not people. Heated topics still deserve a calm tone.
- No harassment, hate speech, slurs, or demeaning language of any kind.
2 Stay on topic
Keep discussions relevant to the thread and the community.
- Post in the category that best fits your topic so others can find it.
- Avoid derailing threads; start a new one if the conversation shifts.
- No spam, advertising, or repeated self-promotion.
3 Cite your sources
Support claims with reliable, verifiable references.
- When you state facts or research, link to a credible source.
- Distinguish personal experience from medical or legal claims.
- Be open to correction when better evidence is presented.
4 No personal attacks
Focus on ideas, not individuals.
- No insults, name-calling, threats, or attempts to intimidate.
- Do not reveal or demand anyone’s private/identifying information (no doxxing).
- Report problems instead of retaliating.
5 Protect privacy & anonymity
This is an anonymous-by-default community.
- Don’t share personal details that could identify you or others.
- Respect that many members post anonymously for good reasons.
- You can post anonymously when creating a thread.
6 Be supportive & safe
Many discussions here are personal and sensitive.
- Lead with compassion in stories about health, trauma, or restoration.
- This community is not a substitute for professional medical or mental-health care.
- If you or someone is in crisis, please seek qualified help right away.
Reputation & ranks
The more you help others, the more the community trusts you — and the more you can do. Reputation is earned quietly from being useful, never from posting the most. As it grows you rise through ranks that unlock new ways to shape the community. There’s no scoreboard and no pressure; it’s simply how trust is recognized here.

Cast “Helpful” votes on threads to surface the conversations worth reading.

Your Helpful votes carry extra weight in how threads are ranked.
- Pillar· Heart of the community
Eligible to help review flagged content alongside the moderation team.

Your first post of the day
- A respectful “Disagree” never costs you reputation — unpopular but honest views are safe here.
- Only moderation actions (a removed post, a ban for abuse) lower your standing meaningfully.
- Reputation is capped per day and ignores votes from yourself — gaming it doesn’t work.
Voting & reactions
React to replies the way you always have — a Like, Support, Insightful, or Thanks tells the author their words landed. On a whole thread, a Helpful vote says “this conversation is worth reading,” and lifts it in the Hot and Top views so more people find it.
- Reactions stay warm and personal — there are no public downvote arrows.
- “Disagree” is respectful dissent, not a penalty — it never lowers anyone’s standing.
- Helpful votes from Veterans carry extra weight in how threads are ranked.
Recognition badges
A few badges celebrate the moments that make this place good. They’re recognition, not rank — they don’t grant any extra powers.

What happens if rules are broken?
We aim for education, not punishment. Most issues are resolved with a friendly reminder. When needed, we take steps to protect the community.
